Instructor Learning Module

The effectiveness of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) largely depends on instructors’ competencies. While most instructors are technically skilled, newly recruited instructors and those without formal pedagogical training often face challenges in delivering effective training.

Providing face‑to‑face training to all instructors simultaneously in TVET institutions is neither cost‑effective nor practical. Therefore, a flexible and sustainable approach to instructor capacity development is required.

 

The Induction Training for TVET Instructors module has been developed to address this need. It targets newly appointed instructors and those without prior pedagogical training, while also serving as a refresher for in‑service instructors. The module focuses on key competencies such as presentation skills, instructionaसl methods and media, and learner assessment.

 

Designed as a self‑paced online learning program, the module allows instructors to learn at their own pace using available learning resources. It will be mandatory for newly appointed instructors and those without formal training experience in all CTEVT‑affiliated TVET institutions. Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification through an online platform.
